Best Rate Guarantee

In order for us to verify a Best Rate Guarantee Claim we need you to action the following steps:

  1. Email your Best Rate Guarantee to sales@sahg.com.au within the 24 hours following the booking made on Seasons Internet site, as attested by the time on the booking confirmation, and 72 hours before the scheduled arrival at the hotel. If the original booking was made within the 72 hours preceding the arrival at the hotel, the Best Rate Guarantee does not apply.
  2. Provide documented evidence, to Seasons hotel reasonable satisfaction to support the availability of the cheaper competing rate. Seasons hotel will accept as evidence: a screenshot that proves that the rate is available (ie. the credit card information page that shows the rate, room type, dates, etc) or a copy of the advertisement or printed material with the lower rate including the terms and conditions on sale.
  3. Seasons Apartment Hotel Group will verify the validity of your claim and respond to you within 48 hours of receiving the form. Should you wish to check on your claim please contact the relevant Seasons hotel directly.
  4. If your claim is successful you will be notified via email with the matching rate. From here you will need to cancel the booking (if made) and we will make the booking with a 10% further discount off the lowest room only rate for your stay. No incidentals (food and beverage, mini bar, in room movies) are included in the Best Rate Guarantee.

Definition

If you book a Seasons hotel-online at the Seasons website and within 24 hours find a lower publicly available rate (“Lower Rate”) on a non-Seasons booking channel (except for "opaque" websites) for the Same Accommodations. "Same Accommodations" means the same room type, at the same hotel, with the same dates and length of stay, same number of guests, same designation as either cancellable or non-cancellable, same advance purchase policies, and the same terms and conditions governing the room rate (excluding local taxes but including booking fees); Seasons will honour the lower rate and give you a further reduction of 10% on the room rate.

Guarantee Application

The Best Rate Guarantee applies to reservations made on www.sahg.com.au and for which a confirmation number has been issued to validate the reservation.

Applicable rates / Exclusions

The Best Rate Guarantee applies solely to Seasons hotel room bookings, excluding the sale of all-inclusive packages (including an offer proposed at the hotel, transport services or any other service related to the room booking)

The rates covered by the Best Rate Guarantee must be accessible to the general public and available for reservation; expressly excluded are:

  • group rates
  • corporate rates
  • wholesale rates
  • conference and seminar rates
  • specific promotional offers or codes granting an additional discount during or after a booking is made (e.g. but not limited to promotional codes supplied further to the registration in a newsletter)
  • rates available on opaque websites that do not show the hotel name until booked (e.g. Expedia mystery hotel)
  • rates given by sites that are re-sellers of wholesale vouchers. This means you would have been purchasing a voucher for intent to stay rather than an actual booking. 
  • rates included as part of a travel package (e.g. bundled with airfare/transport)
  • members rate under Seasons loyalty program
  • rates granted to Seasons partners and their employees
  • rates granted to Seasons employees

Type of rooms

  1. The Best Rate Guarantee applies to the same room category as booked on Seasons website.
  2. The room category claimed for must be available and bookable on another website at the time of verification by Seasons head office.

Dates and length of the stay

  1. The Best Rate Guarantee applies to the same dates as booked on the Seasons internet site.
  2. For claims concerning a booking of two or more consecutive nights (at the same hotel), the Best Rate Guarantee applies on the basis of the price per night and not on the total amount of the stay.

Currency

If the rate found on another Internet site is given in a currency different from that of the rate booked on Seasons Internet site, the Seasons sales office will convert this rate into the same currency as the rate offered on Seasons Internet site. The exchange rate used will be the Seasons exchange rate in effect on Seasons Internet sites at the time of the initial reservation. Seasons reserves the right to refuse a claim, if the exchange rates used by both websites are different. Differences in the currency exchange rates (including the effects of rounding) are excluded from the offer.

Sales conditions

The sales conditions associated with the rate on another Internet site must be the same as the sales conditions of the rate booked on Seasons Internet site in order for the Best Rate Guarantee to apply. This concerns in particular (but not limited to):

  • prepayment and deposit requirements
  • cancellation conditions
  • conditions regarding modification of the reservation

Claim Handling

After verification by Seasons sales office, the Best Rate Guarantee will be granted if your claim meets all the conditions of application. Seasons sales office will send an e-mail with the reservation confirmation number as well as the new rate applicable.

You may only submit one claim for each stay. A “stay” means the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel by the same guest or guests.

In the case of a prepaid reservation rate, the hotel will reimburse the difference in price on the credit card initially debited online.

If the claim does not meet the conditions of the Best Rate Guarantee, the Seasons sales office will send you an e-mail stating that the Guarantee cannot be applied.

Should you wish to cancel the reservation made on Seasons Internet site, the sales conditions applicable are those stated in the sales conditions presented on the site.

Liability

Seasons declines any responsibility regarding any expenses that may arise from cancelling a reservation, for all reservations made on any Internet site other than the Seasons Internet site.

Seasons reserves the right to modify or terminate the Best Rate Guarantee and its terms and conditions of this Guarantee at any time and without prior notice.
